MannVenture vs GoDaddy
GoDaddy sells you every tool a business needs online. Ours does one job with them: it answers, quotes and books.
Okanagan Wedding Co., built and run on this system.
The short answer
GoDaddy is the everything store: domain, email, hosting and a DIY builder, with Canadian prices from $13.99 CAD/mo on the annual toggle. Our AI Website is $97 CAD a month plus a one-time $497, written and built for you, and its AI works the leads while you are on the job. Two honest cautions run through this page: GoDaddy's renewal price is not printed on their pricing page, and nothing in their builder answers a phone. If you want one vendor for every tool and enjoy running them, buy GoDaddy.
What GoDaddy actually is
GoDaddy is where much of the internet buys its domains, and the website builder rides on that: a DIY editor, an AI whose promise is “Describe your idea. AI does the rest.”, and a product catalogue that runs from email to a message inbox for your socials.
The Canadian storefront prices the builder at $13.99 CAD/mo on the annual toggle for Basic and $22.99 CAD/mo on the annual toggle for the recommended Premium, with monthly billing at $22.99 CAD/mo billed monthly and $39.99 CAD/mo billed monthly. There is a real free start: a 7-day free trial.
It is a capable toolkit from a company that will still exist in ten years, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise.

Where GoDaddy beats us
Four of them, and none of them has a “but” attached.
Price.
$13.99 CAD/mo on the annual toggle against $97 CAD a month is not a close call, whatever the renewal later turns out to be.
One-stop shopping.
Domain, email, hosting, site, phone inbox, all on one bill from one vendor. Nobody else in this comparison owns as much of the stack.
Brand and support.
Everyone has heard of GoDaddy, and a human picks up their support line around the clock. That is worth something real at 11 PM when your DNS is broken.
A free start.
A 7-day free trial of the website builder, in their words a way to "go from idea to 'I'm online now'". We have no free tier.
The year-two question their page does not answer
Every price card on GoDaddy's builder page carries a save badge against the monthly rate, which tells you the annual figure is an introductory one. What the page never prints is what you pay when it renews. Their own disclaimer says a plan “will automatically renew at the then-current renewal price with no further action from you, until cancelled”.
We are not going to guess that number for them, because guessing is what this whole site refuses to do. We will just put ours next to it: $497 once, then $97 CAD a month, the same in year one and year two, with the term and the exit charge printed on the order page before you start.
A price you can plan a year around is part of the product.

A greeting is not an answer
GoDaddy does sell phone products, and their closest thing to a receptionist is Auto Attendant. Their help page describes it exactly: “Auto Attendant is like a virtual receptionist, greeting customers who call you on your Conversations business phone number with a professional message before connecting them to you.” It greets the caller and routes them; the answering, the quoting and the booking are still yours to do.
On the day we checked, the Canadian Conversations page carried no phone-line plans at all, only the unified message inbox at C$6.99 /mo.
Ours conducts the call: it answers the question, quotes the range you set, and books the job. Call 236-500-MANN and try to tell the difference this paragraph is describing.

The same job, priced two ways
Sources: godaddy.com's Canadian Website Builder page, checked 24 July 2026. GoDaddy's Canadian storefront prices in CAD, so both columns are in our currency. Their annual-toggle figures are introductory; the renewal price is not published. We have put our own gap in the last row because you were going to find it anyway.
What each one costs over three years
GoDaddy, Premium
Unpublished
Year one is $22.99 CAD/mo on the annual toggle, about $275.88 CAD for the year. Years two and three renew “at the then-current renewal price”, in their words, and that number is not on the page, so a three-year total cannot honestly be printed here.
AI Website
$3,989CAD over three years
$497 once plus $97 CAD a month is $1,661 CAD in year one, then $97 a month after that. Computable from this page, which is the point.

Buy GoDaddy if this is you
GoDaddy is the right buy when
- You want your domain, email, hosting and site on one bill from one vendor.
- The budget is genuinely under twenty-five dollars a month, at least in year one.
- You enjoy running your own tools and a 24/7 support line is your safety net.
- You are testing whether the business is real before spending on it.
Ours is the right buy when
- Your phone rings while your hands are full and you find out hours later.
- You have lost work to whoever called back first.
- You want the price in year two to be the price you agreed to in year one.
- You do not want to be the person who builds and maintains the site.
If you read the left column and recognised yourself, buy GoDaddy. We would rather you did that than pay us for something you do not need yet.
The questions this comparison raises
Because you are buying different amounts of work. GoDaddy sells you the tools and the hosting; you build the site, write the pages and keep them current. Ours includes a person writing your pages, building the site, training the agent on your services and prices, and running it after launch, with two edits a month and a monthly report card. The gap is the labour, plus an agent that answers the 9:40 PM enquiry while you are asleep.
We genuinely cannot tell you, and neither does their pricing page. The card says $13.99 CAD/mo on the annual toggle with a save badge; the only renewal language on the page is their own disclaimer that a plan "will automatically renew at the then-current renewal price with no further action from you, until cancelled". Ours is the same number in year one and year two: $497 CAD to start, then $97/mo on a one-year term. One-year term, billed monthly. At the end of the year it renews for another twelve months at the then-current rate, unless you tell us before it does.
Different job. Their Conversations product gives you a business number and an Auto Attendant, and their own help page describes it: "Auto Attendant is like a virtual receptionist, greeting customers who call you on your Conversations business phone number with a professional message before connecting them to you." It greets and routes; you still take the call. Ours answers the question, quotes the range you set, and books the job, and you can hear it do that right now on 236-500-MANN. Also worth knowing: on the day we checked, GoDaddy's Canadian Conversations page carried no phone-line plans at all, only the message inbox.
No. Your domain stays right where it is; we point it at the new site and your email keeps working. Moving registrars is never a requirement of working with us, and your domain stays yours either way.
GoDaddy's trial converts to a plan that "will automatically renew at the then-current renewal price with no further action from you, until cancelled", in their words. Ours is One-year term, billed monthly. At the end of the year it renews for another twelve months at the then-current rate, unless you tell us before it does. If you leave before the term is up, early termination is 3 months of the monthly subscription: $291 CAD at $97 a month. The one-time implementation fee covers work already delivered and is not refunded. Both auto-renew; the difference is that our renewal number and our exit number are printed before you start.
Seen enough, or want to look first?
If the fork above put you on our side, the next step is the order page: the whole price, the guarantee and the term, said once more before you commit to anything. If you want to look first, okanaganwed.com is a live customer site running on the same system, and the other comparisons are one click away.
