What Wix actually is
Wix is the biggest DIY website platform there is, and its AI builder's own promise is “Go from a prompt to a business-ready website”. You describe the business, it drafts the site, and you finish it in their editor, by hand or with their AI agents.
The Canadian pricing is public: a free plan on a wixsite.com address, then $21 CAD/mo billed yearly, $33 CAD/mo billed yearly, $44 CAD/mo billed yearly, and $165 CAD/mo billed yearly at the top. The page's own terms: “Displayed prices are for yearly subscriptions, paid in full at the time of purchase.”
That is a genuinely capable platform at a genuinely low price, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise.

Wix localizes its Canadian storefront, so the number on the page is the number in your currency. Most of the builders in this category quote USD.
Wix built a phone agent. Here is the fine print.
Alone in this category, Wix ships a first-party AI phone agent. Their help center describes it plainly: “Alfred, your AI Phone Agent, answers calls for your business 24/7 and lets you know when a caller needs follow-up. It can take messages, send SMS links after calls, and notify you when a caller mentions something important.”
The same help center states the availability: “The Phone Agent is currently only available in English to Wix users in the US”. It also needs a paid site plan, and no price for the agent itself is published. For a business in British Columbia, that means the phone still rings unanswered today.

Because you are buying different amounts of work. Wix is software you operate: you build it, write it, and keep it current, and the better it is, the more of your evenings it took. Ours includes a person writing your pages, building the site, training the agent on your services and prices, and running it after launch, with two edits a month and a monthly report card. The price gap is the labour.
It does, and credit where due: Alfred answers calls 24/7 and takes messages. Two things to check before you count on it. Wix's own help center says "The Phone Agent is currently only available in English to Wix users in the US", so a BC business cannot put it on a line today, and no price for it is published.
